Pilates

Whether your are supplementing an outside athletic endeavor or are simply looking to improve your strength and flexibility, Pilates is a great alternative to the more traditional or conventional workouts you may have tried in the past.  Pilates helps to elongate and strengthen muscles.  Pilates improves both joint mobility and muscle elasticity.

Pilates is a more mindful way of working out, focusing on breathing as well as a focus on the alignment of your spine and pelvis.  It is gentle than many of the workouts you are used to while being challenging enough to keep your interested.  It strengthens your core and gives you a more balanced workout which leaves you less prone to injuries even in your other sports.

At Active we offer this lifetime exercise either as individual or small group instruction. Debi and her team of instructors provide well rounded, customized programs using the reformer, tower, cadillac, chair and barrel.

In addition, Active Body and Health is an Education Center for Peak Pilates. Peak offers only the best in quality Classical Pilates Education. Please check out all of our Pilates and fitness education programs we have to offer here.

“If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. IF it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.”
